In Zvolen, we saw active hockey with many opportunities on both sides. The home team players could have taken the lead in the first minute, but Puliš did not suppress Gudlevskis up close. Other chances arose during the Slovan power play, two breakaways were not used by Zvolen, namely Kolenič and Zuzin, on the other side Brodzinski shot into the throat. Rahma finally conceded when Štajnoch shot from the blue line in the 11th minute.

The second period started with two Slovan powerplays and then Peluso scored with his shaft on a tipped shot. The goal however did not stand as the referees said that Peluso was in the crease when the goal was scored. The home team took the lead 27 minutes into the match, making a score 1:1. From behind the goal, Zuzin found Stupka in front of the crease, pushing himself in front of the goal and aiming from the right side of the net. At the end of this part, Zvolen played a power play, but during it they were not able to cash in, because Rapáč had a squabble and really made it hard for the goalie Rahm.

In the third period, both teams tried to gain three points, did not slow down, they fought for every puck, but the performers gave good performances. Rahm held the team at the chances of Bortňák or Kundrik and Gudlevskis did not allow Puliš and Nuutinen to score. However, Zvolen was given a power play in the 54th minute. After Nuutinen's shot, the dotted puck stamped the thigh, but Radovan Bondra got to it and cleaned it safely into the goal - 2: 1. In the end, Slovan played two powerplays in a row. But alas, they were not able to equalize. Slovan lost in Zvolen 2:1.
