Slovan's last home spell produced four defeats and just a solitary point. They started the latest hom series positively, winning an early powerplay. Whilst the numerical advantage didn't pay off, but Lušňák found a way past Fokin soon after, pushing the puck home at the second attempt - 1:0. The home fans didn't have long to wait before their team doubled the lead. With a penalty signalled, Jeglič broke into the attacking zone and found Tičar on the left, who made it 2:0. Shortly before the first siren, Slovan made it three, Jeglič getting a touch on Švarný's long-range effort, signalling the end for Fokin in the Ugra net - 3:0.

The puck spent plenty of time around the visitors' goalmouth in the first half of the middle period, but the goals came in the latter half. First, in the 34th minute, Lušňák kept composure in front of Gelashvili to make it 4:0, then just 20 seconds later Nedorost slotted home Kašpar's pass from behind the goal - 5:0. The sixth and last goal of the contest came in just the 37th minute, Skalický recording his first strike in the KHL - 6:0.

In the final period, the Sky Blues retained their lead, dedicated defensive attempting to help Brust keep his clean sheet. That they achieved, despite the visitors' powerplays, and Slovan starts the home stint with an emphatic win.
