Stupka had the first chance in the match after Viedenský's pass, but Parks stopped the puck with his pads. Slovan was the first to have a power play at disposal, but Rahm saved Gašpar's shot. Zvolen then played a large advantage and Kelemen sent guests into the lead during it. Zvolen scored the opening goal in all three matches of the series. Slovan made a run for the goal, and it was O’Donnel that tied the game.

In the fourth, however, McPherson reached out and sent Zvolen to a two-goal lead. Immediately, Slovan had a chance after the collected goal, but Meszároš missed the net. The guests managed the end of the match tactically, did not allow the home team to exert continuous pressure and finally secured an important triumph with a goal in an empty net.
