The American forward was Slovan's MVP in the 2016-2017 season.

The 37-year-old center has agreed to a one-year KHL contract with HC SLOVAN Bratislava for the upcoming season. The contract is a subject to registration at the Central Player's Registry in Moscow. The Hastings (Minnesota) native returns to Slovan after a year spent in the Swiss hockey league.

It will be the third KHL season for the experienced American forward. Apart from Slovan he spent one season with the  Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. In Europe, he played for the Swedish Linköpings HC. The left-handed player has been always one of the most productive players.

During his time spent in the AHL he belonged among the best league players. He played 714 games and scored excellent 572 points in them. During his hockey career, Taffe has played 180 NHL games and scored 46 points.

Jeff was the MVP of the Linköping HC with 59 points scored. He became Slovan's MVP two years later by scoring 43 points in the regular season. The second place in the productivity stats belonged to him while he played for Nizhnekamsk.

The latest team Jeff Taffe played for was Ambri Piotta in Switzerland. However, the young Swiss team wasn't achieving the best results, and the American forward had to help the team out. This eventually worked out for Ambri well.

HC SLOVAN welcomes Jeffa Taffe back, and we hope that he will be as productive as he was the last time he played for our team.
