Slovans didn't use neither of their two power plays in the first period. The away team almost scored a goal, but V. Nikulin only hit Štěpánek's pole.
The home team pulled it together for the second period and started playing more actively. Sherbatov hit one of the Karlsson's posts. After we managed well during a penalty kill, Boychuk and Voráček tried to score, as well as Lamper and Marek Hecl - all of them unsuccessfully.
A strategic fight for every inch of the rink contiued throughout the third period as well, Boychuk hitting a post. Slovan's zero scoring efficiency got punished by Shevchenko in the 50th minute, when he scored Barys' first goal. Slovan didn't manage to tie the game even in the end of the game when they played with six skaters, and Barys scored their second goal through Dallman, making Slovan lose a sixth game in a row.
